Bon Voyage: Select a travel agent with care

Who needs a travel agent these days when you have online travel sites? Well, we might.

In 2010, I was scheduled to travel to Europe two days after Eyjafjallajökull — the volcano in Iceland — erupted. I was much better off than the thousands of people sleeping in airports and hotels: I was at home. But it took me nine hours to rebook my tickets and change the dates on my travel insurance.
