Bon Voyage: Trip-for-treat - Proper route planning made for a good haul
Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 10:17 I credit Halloween for my penchant for planning trips, a passion as strong as actually going on them.
When I was a child, my mother and I would visit my grandparents every weekend, driving an hour from Cincinnati to the small town of Oxford, Ohio. My grandparents' neighborhood was safe, squeaky clean, and one in which people vied for bragging rights for giving the best Halloween treats. My weekend pals told tales that haunted my dreams; of adults plying them with full-size candy bars, home-made caramel apples, and popcorn balls so large a you had to hold them with both hands.
