Bon Voyage: ... long road trips

Nothing says American vacation to me more than a road trip. My favorite childhood trips include Canada, Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky, Washington, D.C., and biannual trips to Florida, Wisconsin and Michigan to see family. When my family and I moved from Ohio to Northern California in 1985, we took two weeks and drove through 10 states. The world seemed a very big place.
